University of Southampton professor of clinical and experimental sciences Martin Feelisch at a congress in Melbourne in mid-November 2014 referred to a study in the "Journal of Investigative Dermatology". It showed that only direct sunlight, not supplements, can provide the body with a dose of Vitamin D needed to boost bone and muscle health
