Western Australia’s Legal Professional Complaints Committee has fined Perth lawyer Carmelo Grasso $A5,000 for professional misconduct. Grasso had commenced a compensation claim on behalf of a dog attack victim in June 1998. However, the application for compensation was not filed until March 2014. The client was subsequently awarded $A2,246 in compensation. Grasso will also pay his client $A27,000
