Malaysian investigators have concluded that Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 was deliberately flown off course. Six Australians were among the 239 passengers and crew that were on board MH370 when it departed from Kuala Lumpur on 28 March 2014. It was bound for Beijing, but radio contact was lost within an hour of departure. No trace of MH370 has ever been found. Chief investigator Kok Soo Chon said it had not been able to rule out the possibility of a third party being involved in MH370 being flown off course. Investigators were critical of Malaysian and Vietnamese traffic controllers for not advising authorities sooner about its disappearance.
