The Australian Securities & Investments Commission has issued details on a case of two men allegedly committing fraud against the four main banks and other mortgage lenders. It is being claimed that the accused used the Footscray branch of Myra Financial Services to lodge loan applications with sham documents, causing a loss of a total $A110m across 350 mortgages. Sutton to take helm at BoQ

Sources at the Bank of Queensland (BoQ) have indicated that Jon Sutton will become the permanent successor to former CEO Stuart Grimshaw. Sutton has been acting CEO since August 2014, and joined BoQ in July 2012. His previous roles have included the MD of Bankwest and the executive GM of Commonwealth Bank Agribusiness. Consumer satisfaction with banks in November the highest in nearly two decades

A Roy Morgan Single Source survey has found that the satisfaction level of the personal customers of Australian banks rose by 0.2 per cent to a record 82.8 per cent in November 2014. The Commonwealth Bank had the highest personal customer satisfaction rating of the four major banks in the six months to November, at 81.8 per cent. However, ING Direct (89.4 per cent) and Bendigo Bank (89 per cent) boasted the highest customer satisfaction rating of the nation’s 10 largest banks, while Bankwest had the highest level of customer satisfaction for internet banking services

Medibank IPO fee pool not as lucrative for key bankers

NAB hires Deloitte ahead of stepping up life division sale

NAB execs poorer by $44m

The 2013-14 annual report of National Australia Bank (NAB) shows that senior managers forfeited some $A44m worth of stock meant as incentive awards. The remuneration of departed CEO Cameron Clyne in his final year at the helm dropped from $A7.8m to $A6m, even when taking into account a "golden parachute" payment of $A1.7m.
