A Roy Morgan Young Australians Survey has found that 21 per cent of Australian aged between six and 13 played cricket at school in the year to December 2014, while 14 per cent played cricket outside of school hours. This compares with 23 per cent and 15 per cent respectively in 2010. The survey also shows that the proportion of Australians aged 6-13 playing Australian Rules football at school has fallen from 17 per cent to 15 per cent, while those who play this sport outside school hours has fallen from 12 per cent to 10 per cent
