A Roy Morgan Single Source survey has found that 11 per cent of Australian women aged 14+ bought perfume in an average four-week period in the year to September 2014. However, this rises to 18 per cent for women in the 14-24 age group, compared with 10 per cent of women in the 50-64 age demographic. The survey also shows that in the first quarter of 2014, 17.1 per cent of Australian men reported buying fresh flowers at least once in the previous three months. A Roy Morgan Single Source survey has found that seven per cent of Australians aged 14+ bought at least one eBook online in an average three months during the year to September 2014. Some 9.1 per cent of Australians in the 35-49 age group bought an eBook in an average three months, compared with 8.7 per cent in the previous year. The proportion of Australians in the 18-24 age group who buy eBooks online has risen from 3.9 per cent to 5.1 per cent in the last year, while the number of eBook buyers aged 65+ has risen from 4.1 per cent to 5.4 per cent

A Roy Morgan Single Source survey has found that 12.5 per cent of Australian households now have a Smart TV. The survey, which was carried out in the year to October 2014, also shows that 4.3 per cent of households use Telstra’s T-Box to access internet content, while four per cent have an Apple TV set-top digital media player. Meanwhile, some 576,000 Australians intend to buy a Smart TV in the next 12 months, while 281,000 intend to buy an Apple TV device

The survey, which was carried out in the year to November 2014, also shows that 53 per cent have a phone that is paid for by their place of work and one which they pay for themselves. A Roy Morgan Single Source survey has found that 18 per cent of Australians aged 14+ visited at least one art gallery or museum on their last holiday. The survey, which was carried out in the two years to October 2014, also shows that 36 per cent of Australians who went overseas for their last holiday visited at least one art galley or museum. Some 75 per cent who travelled to Europe for their last holiday visited an art gallery or museum. Meanwhile, 14 per cent of Australians whose last holiday was domestic visited at least one museum or art gallery

Expedia has released a report which shows that many Australian workers do not use their entire annual leave entitlement each year. It found that 11 per cent of Australians failed to take any leave in 2014, while they have an average of five days of unused leave each year. A Roy Morgan Single Source survey has found that just two per cent of Australians aged 14+ eat two serves of fruit and five serves of vegetables each day. The survey, which was carried out in the year to October 2014, also shows that more than 60 per cent of Australians eat no more than two serves of vegetables each day, while just six per cent eat five or more serves each day. Meanwhile, 33 per cent of women and 28 per of men eat the recommended two serves of fruit each day
