The last supper: ownership of fine china and premium tableware plummets

A Roy Morgan Single Source survey has found that 15.7 per cent of Australians aged 14+ had premium tableware/fine china in their household in the year to December 2014. This compares with 22.2 per cent in 2010. Meanwhile, the proportion of Australians who held a dinner party in an average three months fell from 24.2 per cent to 22.9 per cent over the same period, and the proportion of Australians who entertained friends or relatives at home fell from 65.3 per cent to 58.8 per cent.
