A multi-mode Morgan Poll on Federal voting intention has found that support for the Coalition on a two-party preferred basis has risen by 2.5 per cent to 46.5 per cent. The poll, which was carried out on the weekends of 28 February-1 March and 7-8 March 2015, also shows that support for the Australian Labor Party has fallen by 2.5 per cent to 53.5 per cent. No Death Penalty for Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran say 53% of Australians

A special snap SMS Morgan Poll has found that 52 per cent of Australians say that Australians convicted of drug trafficking in another country and sentenced to death should be executed, which is unchanged since January 2015. The poll, which was carried out from 27 February-1 March, also shows that 53 per cent of Australians say convicted drug traffickers Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran should not be executed in Indonesia. A Fairfax/Ipsos poll, which was carried out from 26-28 February 2015, has found that support for the federal Coalition on a two-party preferred basis has risen to 49 per cent, compared with 51 per cent for the Australian Labor Party. The previous poll in January had Labor ahead 54 to 46 on a two-party preferred basis. The Coalition’s primary vote has increased from 38 per cent to 42 per cent, and Labor’s has fallen from 40 per cent to 36 per cent. A special SMS Morgan Poll on State voting intention has found that New South Wales Premier Mike Baird has a 33 per cent lead over Opposition Leader Luke Foley as preferred premier, which is five per cent lower than the poll of 16-18 January 2015. The Coalition has 55 per cent support on a two-party preferred basis, an increase of 1.5 per since the last poll.
