Federal Environment Minister Melissa Price has approved the groundwater management plan for Adani’s proposed Carmichael coal mine. However, the groundwater plan must still be approved by the Queensland government, and state Environment Minister Leeanne Enoch says there are still several "uncertainties" regarding the plan. She has also expressed concern that lobbying by National Party MPs to approve the plan may have constituted political interference, a claim that has been rejected by Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
