Morgan Poll Update – Page: Online : 28-Nov-14

An SMS Morgan Poll on state voting intention one day before the 2014 Victorian election has found that support for the Coalition and the Australian Labor Party on a two-party preferred basis is level at 50 per cent each. Support for the Coalition has fallen by 1.6 per cent since the 2010 election, while support for Labor has risen by the same margin. The poll, which was carried out on 26-27 November, also shows that 50.5 per cent of electors now believe that Denis Napthine would make the better Premier. Roy Morgan Research executive chairman Gary Morgan says the closeness of the Morgan Poll means that minor parties’ preferences will play a pivotal role in deciding the outcome of the election
