A new enterprise agreement for the University of Canberra’s employees includes an increase in the superannuation contribution of casual staff from 12 per cent to 17 per cent. This will be progressively phased in over the life of the four-year wage deal; the university’s permanent employees already have a super rate of 17 per cent, and vice-chancellor Professor Bill Shorten says the increase for casuals is an "overdue correction". The new enterprise agreement also includes annual pay rises of 3.625 per cent over four years, increased working-from-home rights and access to reproductive and defence service leave.
